The new decorative hanging basket from Pöppelmann TEKU makes it possible.

Pöppelmann TEKU has presented this decorative hanging basket to the professional audience at the IPM in Essen from 26^th to 29^th January 2010 for the first time. It will be available in two versions either equipped with the multi-hole star bottom or the well-known water overflow. Not only the attractive appearance created by an appealing décor offers additional value for the grower. 

A very important feature is the sophisticated multi-hole star bottom designed with an additional bayonet lock for an easy and fast assembly of the saucer. In general this happens while the plants are prepared for marketing. Until then the hanging basket stays in the greenhouse. The bottom holes on three different levels guarantee an ideal irrigation and drainage.  

But that is not all. The utilisation of modern cultivation techniques is very important for an efficient and cost-saving production of ornamental plants. Due to the distinctive rim the new hanging basket offers a real added value. The shape has been designed to allow for a trouble-free destacking on all customary potting machines. Fork lifts will find a good contact surface in order to move the pots safely. The large floor space provides additional stability on conveyor belts.

This characteristic, by the way, is also a feature of the hanging basket with water overflow. Especially for cultivations which are predominantly produced overhead this version is a great alternative since the closed bottom serves as a water reservoir.

Altogether Pöppelmann TEKU has got the perfect hanging baskets for the future-oriented grower who wants to produce cost- and conservation-conscious. At the same time the developing engineers were able to reduce the material usage and therefore reduce the weight of the pot due to the optimised design. For the time being the decorative hanging baskets will be available in white, green and terracotta.
