The new TEKU TP 2836-9AZ/12-6 transport trays from Pöppelmann (Lohne) are an example of this. Precision-moulded individual sections mean that growers can quickly and efficiently fill the trays with top-quality nursery plants in 9 cm pots.

Well-developed plants in 9 cm pots obviously need to be transported in a way that protects them from premature wilt but does not add too much additional weight. The new TP 2836 and TP 1828 trays meet this exact requirement - with their half-format design of six sections instead of twelve. The optimum-moulded grip edge significantly increases the level of stability, making it easier for users to grasp and carry the tray. This makes repeated loading and unloading when preparing deliveries quick and easy.

The "P9 6-packs", as some growers also call these trays; can be used as more than just transport trays. They can be refilled with the empty pots or used as a cultivation tray without any pots at all. TEKU AddedValue again provides a high level of dimensional accuracy for the individual sections. The rim of the 9 cm pots used - types VCD 9, VTD 9 and TO 9D from the TEKU product range - lie flush with the edge of the tray. This means that soil cannot fall into the spaces in between when filling boxes automatically.
 Furthermore, the plants are always kept stable, arriving undamaged with the customer. Transport on CC trolleys is easy with the TP 2836 and the TP 1828. Their outside dimensions of 278 x 362.4 cm or 278 x 181.2 cm are a perfect fit for CC shelves, enabling optimum filling. For the TP 2836, six trays and two half units with a total of 84 plants fit on one shelf. For the TP 1828, therefore 14 trays with 84 plants can fit onto a shelf. The new tray design also offers advantages when set out on benches, as growers are able to produce an extra plant for each square metre.

After shipment, it is just as easy for the customer to remove the plants from the trays by hand as it was for the producer to fill them. In addition, they can also be reused by customers to transport their purchases. The cleanly cut slots enable the easy attachment of carrying handles or labels by machine. The large central hole in the base ensures optimum drainage and watering in all cultivation and sales environments.
