Versatility is required

The time of endless filing and forging pieces of metal is long over. In addition to basic education in the metal sector, you will learn the basics of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical engineering and machining.

The main jobs of an industrial mechanic include the construction of spare and new parts, plus the repair and maintenance of machines. You will also be responsible for setting up and adjusting new machines. You will therefore be a really useful member of the team, who can help out in many situations and, after education, to whom many doors will be open.

Personal requirements:

• Willingness to work hard,
• good technical understanding,
• interest in mechanics and electrics,
• open to new tasks and areas of work,
• not afraid of heights (no dizziness),
• good eye sight (in particular colours),
• not afraid of „getting your hands dirty“,
• physical endurance and concentration skills,
• good team player,
• good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• At a minimum, have completed secondary school with good results,
• good mathematical understanding,
• understanding of the principles of physics,
• computer skills an advantage.

• 3.5 years
